George Smith are a luxury furniture brand who pride themselves on their beautifully hand-crafted furniture and the customisable service that they offer their clients.
With no e-commerce offering, bad UX, and a website that did not reflect the beauty and quality of their products, we were tasked with bringing their old-fashioned website up to date.
COMPLEX E-COMMERCE SET UP
When George Smith approached us, they had no e-commerce offering on their website, and all sales were done through enquiries. Using Woocommerce, we created a complex e-commerce website for George Smith to sell not only stock products, but also Made to Order pieces and Fabrics (by length) as well. The result is a smooth e-commerce experience that clearly differentiates George Smith’s product categories and services.
MADE TO ORDER
George Smith’s Made to Order service is an integral aspect of their brand, giving customers the opportunity to create a custom-made piece of furniture from a number of different components.
Picking up on the importance of selling these bespoke products and bringing the in-store experience online, the new website eases users through the process by using visual elements to help create a vision of the finished product.
ADVANCED MODULAR BUILD
The website has much more to offer than it’s product pages. One of our goals was to provide a platform for George Smith to show off their impressive project case studies, collections and blog posts.
We therefore built an extensively modular website so that beautiful posts and pages could be created through the CMS using a wide variety of different modules. With such a large amount of content, this modular set up keeps every page looking fresh and unique.
